We’re not in Kansas (City) anymore…
This past weekend, my high school robotics team visited Kansas City, MO for a regional FIRST Robotics Competition. Having been there for three days, though our hotel was on the other side of the state line, we witnessed a not as priviledged city as the one we call home. So, imagine my surprise when I come home from school beacuse I am not feeling well and I get online and at the yahoo homepage, one of the top four headlines in the scrolling ones is about none other than Kansas City, MO having to shut down nearly half of it’s schools to prevent bankruptcy. This adds what I think is an exciting twist in my research. . . which I will discuss later when I compile what research I’ve done since my last post and post it here. But for now, I am off to bed to catch some zzz’s so I have some energy for later.
Hey, Tara. That is very horrible. I can’t believe people having to deal with their schools closing. I think it’s terrible when education has to suffer. Wish there were more ways to help.
